ABDUR-RAHIM BRIGGS

PRESIDENT

Abdur-Rahim Briggs currently serves as the President of the Greater Washington DC (GWDC) Chapter. He previously held the role of President of the Board of Directors for the GWDC Chapter from 2009 to 2010 and is now employed as a Records and Information Management Specialist at the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia.

​

With over thirty-one years of expertise in Records & Information Management and seventeen years in Website Content Management, he presently works as the Website Specialist for the DC Public Service Commission. He takes great satisfaction in his responsibilities related to Information Governance and Website Content Management, with a key objective of advancing his career through further education in Information Management and Technology.

Mr. Briggs was honored with the Rita L. Holt Chapter Member of the Year Award in both 2010 and 2014. He has been a member of the GWDC Chapter and ARMA International since June 2000, holding several leadership roles within the Chapter. In addition, he manages the Chapter’s website and monthly newsletter.
